(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.63 dated 06.06.2021, registered under Sections 3, 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 8 of Punjab Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955, at Police Station Taragarh, District Pathankot. Vide order dated 05.08.2021 passed by this Court, the petitioner was granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and had been directed to join investigation.

On 05.10.2021, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to some family dispute, the petitioner could not join investigation and the petitioner was granted one more opportunity to join the investigation. Today, learned State counsel, submits that the petitioner has again not joined the investigation.

CRM-M-31167-2021 (O&M) -2Perusal of the record would show that despite availing the number of opportunities, the petitioner has not bothered to join the investigation. Keeping in view the above, the petitioner cannot be allowed to avail the interim protection at the costs of violations of the conditions laid therein. Therefore, the petitioner is no longer entitled to the interim protection.
