The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No.2 or any other Special Investigating Team headed by a senior IPS Officer to conduct further investigation into FIR No.69 dated 28.06.2022 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 IPC registered at Police Station Nupur Bedi, District Rupnagar.

The petitioner claims that he is the only officer who has been implicated in aforesaid FIR. The matter relates to purchase of land. He was not part of inspection committee or price fixation committee still was made accused along with vendors i.e. Amrinder Singh Bhinder and Daljit Singh Bhinder as well as Kamal Kishor and Varinder Kumar who had DEEPAK BISSYAN 2026.04.23 16:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-12372-2026 -2submitted their bids. As per FIR, collectorate rate of the land purchased by Punjab Forest Development Corporation Limited was Rs.90,000/- whereby land was purchased at the rate of Rs.9,90,000/- per acre. 3.

Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to avail alternative remedies as permissible by law.
