Mr. Shivam Grover, Advocate appears in the Court and files his Vakalatnama on behalf of the petitioner, same is taken on record.

The writ petition filed by the petitioner raising grievance that similar situated daily wagers were regularized, was disposed of with the direction to the Secretary, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Patiala to take decision on legal notice dated 18.08.2016. The present contempt petition has been filed pleading that needful has not been done.

COCP No.1954 of 2019 -2Pursuant to notice of motion, reply by way of affidavit of Er. Kanwalpreet Singh Sidhu, Additional Superintending Engineer, Operation Division, PSPCL, Samrala, District Ludhiana has been filed in the Court, same is taken on record. Copy of reply is handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner. Alongwith the reply, order dated 15.10.2019 has been annexed whereby claim of the petitioner has been accepted and amount of 2,48,274/- has been found due to him.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that amount found due has wrongly been calculated.

The said aspect cannot be gone into present contempt petition.

The contempt petition is disposed of.

However, petitioner would be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law for redressal of the grievance. Learned counsel for the respondents states that a cheque amounting to 2,48,274/- is ready and petitioner can collect the same from the office of respondent No.2 on any working day.
