In the present petition, the petitioners are praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to de-reserve 1152 posts of General (Ex-Servicemen category) and 373 posts of General (Sports category), which are lying vacant in pursuance to the recruitment of 5994 posts of ETT Teachers as advertised vide advertisement dated 12.10.2022 (Annexure P-1). It is further prayed that respondents be restrained from issuing any appointment letters to the reserved categories in pursuance to final selection list dated 20.04.2025 (Annexure P-5). 2.
