Mr. Manpreet Singh Bhatti, Advocate for the petitioner. JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No.75 dated 25.05.2020 registered under Sections 323, 324 and 427 IPC at Police Station Payal, District Khanna and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that initially a cancellation report was submitted but the Judicial Magistrate did not accept the same and sent it back for further investigation. Therefore, the present FIR may be quashed.

The learned State counsel admitted that a cancellation report was filed but now a further investigation is pending. Keeping in view the fact that the investigation is still pending, I do not deem it fit to quash the FIR. However, the Investigating Agency is directed to conclude the investigation within a period of four weeks and file an appropriate report as the FIR was registered four years ago on 25.05.2020.

Disposed of.
