Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 04.06.2022 (P-1) passed by respondent No. 5, whereby the petitioner was transferred from the District Jail, Rupnagar to Central Jail, Bathinda.

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, submits that impugned transfer order has been cancelled by the authority concerned, therefore, present petition be disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.

Ordered accordingly.

Needless to say that salary/dues of the petitioner be released in accordance with law by the competent authority within a period of four (04) weeks from today positively, failing which, petitioner would be at liberty to move an application for revival of present writ petition.
