The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to consider and decide his case for naming the Government Senior Secondary School, Chandpura, District Mahendergarh after Martyr Naik Rohtash Singh who laid down his life on 20.11.1962 during the IndoChina War while serving in the Indian Army. 2.

As per petition, late Naik Rohtash Singh was enrolled in Indian Army on 05.01.1940. He participated in Indo-China War 1962. He laid down his life in the said war. His sacrifice is duly certified in the official Army record. The State Government has framed Policies dated 17.07.1999 and 10.01.2013 whereby it has been declared that Government/Aided Educational Institutes in the cities/towns/villages may DEEPAK BISSYAN 2026.04.22 17:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-12076-2026 -2be named after Martyrs belonging to those cities/towns/villages. The petitioner has made representations to respondent to name Government Senior Secondary School, Chandpura, District Mahendergarh after Martyr Naik Rohtash Singh's name. The Village Panchayat has already passed resolution.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Dr. Mangal Sain, HCS, City Magistrate, Mahendergarh at Narnaul, submits that the matter is pending before jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner and an appropriate order shall be passed within three months from today. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
