Reply by way of an affidavit filed by the contemner is taken on record.

Aggrieved by certain orders passed by Ms. Gurdarshan Kaur, the then learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Faridkot, the contemner had lodged two private complaints against her alleging that she had passed orders without her jurisdiction by misusing her designation. He had also alleged that she had passed some wrong orders violating the process of law. That was the basis for initiating contempt as against the contemner.

During the pendency of this Contempt Petition, both the private complaints lodged by the contemner as against the above Judicial Officer have been withdrawn by him and resultantly, the same stood dismissed as such. Further, the Criminal Appeal No.-S3084-SB of 2014 filed by the contemner aggrieved by the order passed by the learned Sessions Judge in the proceedings under Section 340 Cr.P.C. has also been dismissed as withdrawn. 4.

It appears that the contemner having aggrieved by the orders passed by Ms. Gurdarshan Kaur, the then Civil Judge (Senior Division), Faridkot has come out with all these allegations. As he has withdrawn all the private complaints against the Judicial Officer and so as the appeal preferred by him and further, he has also tendered an unconditional apology before this Court for his conduct, the contemner stands discharged and the contempt proceedings stand closed accordingly. Rule stands discharged.
