Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after dismissal of his appeal by the Sessions Court, the petitioner has undergone custody for more than one month and after that, the matter was settled in the Mediation and Conciliation Centre and the statements of the parties to this effect were also recorded. Given above, the present revision petition is dismissed. However, sentence of the petitioner is reduced to the period already undergone by him. Bail bonds of the petitioner are discharged. Fine and compensation deposited by the petitioner, if any, shall be refunded to the complainant, on an application moved on his behalf.
