Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438(1) read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.193 dated 01.11.2018 under Section 420 IPC, registered at Police Station City Batala. Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2-complainant appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that on the last date i.e. 29.05.2019, VINEET GULATI 2019.07.17 09:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-51569 of 2018 -2learned counsel for the petitioner stated that petitioner is ready to deposit `1 lakh with the Registrar General of this Court for making payment to the complainant and therefore, he was directed to deposit the above-said amount with the Registrar General on that day itself. The petitioner was further directed to make payment of `1 lakh more to the complainant on 15.06.2019.

As per the report of the office, the petitioner has neither deposited `1 lakh with the Registrar General, as undertook by learned counsel for the petitioner on behalf of the petitioner, nor `1 lakh has been paid to the complainant on 15.06.2019.

Keeping in view the above facts and conduct of the petitioner, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
