Instant petition has been filed by the petitioner for directing the respondents to grant him the benefit of proficiency step up in the pay scale on completion of 23 years of service from the due date in view of the policy of the Board for grant of promotional scale and increments to its employees on completion of 23 years of service and for directing the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner as well as revise his pensionary benefits accordingly and to grant him the consequential arrears of pay and pensionary benefits along with interest @ 18% per annum.

Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner for the last two consecutive dates of hearing and even the notice issued to learned counsel for the petitioner has been duly served, it appears that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the present petition. CWP-17960 of 2009 Consequently, the same is dismissed for want of prosecution. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to get the present petition revived in case any cause still survives.
