(Oral) The petitioners have prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus for seeking a direction to the respondents not to stop them from selling meat and meat products at their shops/hotels under the garb of prohibition imposed by the Government of Haryana within the municipal limits of Kurukshetra (Thanesar and Pehowa cities).

Today, learned counsel for the respondent-State has produced an order dated 24.10.2017, the text of which reads as under:- "The Governor of Haryana is pleased to declare Kurukshetra (Thanesar & Pehowa) cities in Haryana as 'HOLY CITIES' and to prohibit the sale and purchase of meat and meat products in the Municipal limits of Thanesar and Pehowa cities." Faced with this situation, counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition in order to challenge the order dated 24.10.2017, in accordance with law.

Dismissed as withdrawn.

Liberty is granted.
