The present application has been filed for preponing the date of hearing in the main appeal, which is fixed for 04.08.2026. 2.

Notice of the application to the counsel opposite. 3.

Mr. Inderpreet Singh Sohal, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents and raises no objection for the grant of prayer as made in the application.

Keeping in view the same, the application is allowed. Date of hearing in main petition is preponed to today and the case is taken up for hearing. CM-4108-LPA-2026 5.

As prayed for, application is allowed.

Present application has been filed for condonation of delay of 11 days in filing the present appeal.

Keeping in view the averments made in the application, which are duly supported by an affidavit, the application is allowed. Delay of 11 days in filing the present appeal is condoned. 8.

In the present appeal, the challenge is to the impugned order dated 07.03.2026 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in CWP-3652-2026. 9.

Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the order dated 07.03.2026 passed by the learned Single Judge was being interpreted by the PUNBUS to mean that a direct order for regularizing the services of the respondents has been passed by the learned Single Judge whereas, the minute reading of the impugned order shows that the only direction was given to consider the claim of the respondents for regularization of their services in terms of Punjab Adhoc, Contractual, Daily Wages, Temporary, Work Charged and Outsourced Employees, Welfare Act, 2016 and the settled principle of law. 10.

Learned counsel for the appellants further submits that as liberty has been given to the PUNBUS to decide the said issue, PUNBUS will pass an appropriate order in terms of the direction given by the learned Single Judge vide order dated 07.03.2026 qua the claim for the grant of benefit of regularization of the services of the respondents within a period of four weeks from today and the order so passed will be conveyed to the respondents for their information and necessary action and the present appeal may kindly be disposed of as not pressed. 11.

In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the appellants,
