***** RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.118 dated 23.11.2014, under Section 22 of NDPS Act at Police Station Sangat, District Bathinda.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that after grant of regular bail, the petitioner was regularly appearing before the trial court, but on 31.10.2018, he could not appear on account of jotting down wrong date. Therefore, cancelling his bail/surety bonds, the trial court has ordered for issuance of non-bailable warrants of arrest against the petitioner.
Keeping in view the totality of facts and circumstances, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioner to appear/surrender before the trial court within a week and he shall be SONIKA 2018.11.28 18:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
