(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the official respondents to get released his daughter namely Ruksana, from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 and 5.

In compliance of order dated 17.05.2024, report of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mohali, who had been directed by this Court vide the above said order to record the statement of the alleged detenue, has been received and perused.

As per the report received, detenue Ruksana had suffered a statement to the effect that she is happily residing with her husband, respondent No.4 Prabhjot Singh, out of her own will and without any pressure.
