Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned speaking order dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-7) and recovery letter dated 02.05.2023 (Annexure P-8). Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to release the full pension of the petitioner. Another prayer has been made to stay all the proceedings arising out of impugned speaking order dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-7) and recovery letter dated 02.05.2023 (Annexure P-8) during the pendency of the writ petition. 2.

Learned Senior counsel for the respondents/Corporation, at the outset, submits that in compliance of the order dated 22.12.2025, passed by this Court, the affidavit of Basant Garg, Chairman-cumMOHD YAKUB 2026.01.15 17:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

CWP-11184-2023 Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Patiala has been filed and the grievance raised by the petitioner in the present petition has reconsidered and it was decided that no recovery would be effected from the petitioner and revised pension payment order has been issued on 09.01.2026. Moreover, the arrears along with interest @ 9% has been paid to the petitioner on 12.01.2026 and therefore, the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the entire grievance of the petitioner has been substantially redressed.
