**** KIRTI SINGH, J. (Oral) By way of instant petition, petitioners have approached this Court for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for seeking directions to respondents No.2 and 3 for protection of their life and liberty at the hands of private respondent No. 4.

Today, short reply dated 03.07.2024, by way of affidavit of Rajesh Kumar Chibber, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle Amloh, District Fatehgarh Sahib, on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3, has been filed by learned State counsel, in Court today, which is taken on record. 3.

While referring to para No.8 of the aforesaid short reply, learned State counsel on instructions submits that now there is no threat perception to the petitioners at the hands of private respondent No.4.. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has not controverted the submissions made by the learned State counsel. 5.

In view of above, nothing survives in the present petition and the same is disposed of.
