Instant petition has been filed by the petitioner for directing the respondents to grant him the benefit of promotional increments on completion of 23 years of service from the date of appointment giving him the relaxation from qualifying the departmental test having attained the age of 50 years on the relevant date and to release all other consequential benefits.

Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner for the last two consecutive dates of hearing and even the notice issued to learned counsel for the petitioner has been duly served, it appears that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the present petition. Consequently, the same is dismissed for want of prosecution. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to get the present petition revived in case any cause still survives.
