Through the present petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in FIR No.103 dated 29.08.2016, registered under Sections 295-A and 120-B IPC, at Police Station Khamanon, District Fatehgarh Sahib.
Seeking regular bail for the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been in custody for about six months and since the challan has been filed, he is no longer required by the prosecution for investigation purpose. He has further submitted that the trial is yet to begin, and therefore, it is expected that the same would take a long time to conclude. After considering the above submissions raised on behalf of the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail. Bail to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Fatehgarh Sahib.
