ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.231 dated 29.07.2020 under Section 21 of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Ellenabad, District Sirsa.

Per allegations, co-accused Pawan Kumar and Sonu were apprehended by the police party and upon checking, 8.30 gms of heroin was recovered from their possession. During custodial interrogation, they disclosed that they purchased the said heroin/contraband from Krishan Kumar (petitioner herein).

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case as nothing was recovered from him. He further contends that petitioner is a social worker and local persons have a grudge against him and he has been roped in the instant FIR only under the influence of those local persons.

Mr. Bhupender Singh, DAG, Haryana, who has joined proceedings on service of advance copy of the petition, appears on behalf of State of Haryana and opposes bail and contends that petitioner is the drug pedlar/seller of contraband and his custodial interrogation is required. 5.

Taking into consideration nature of allegations and gravity thereof, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made out. The petition is accordingly dismissed.
