NIRMALJIT KAUR, J. (ORAL) The present petition is filed for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 and 5. It is contended that the petitioners have got married out of their own free will but against the wishes of the private respondents and accordingly, feel threatened at their hands.

Issue notice of motion.

Mr.Hittan Nehra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.

Without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Bathinda, to look into the threat perception and take appropriate measures, if so required.
