Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.38 dated 10.04.2019 under Sections 406/420/467/468/471/120-B IPC registered at P.S Chamkaur Sahib, District Rupnagar.

Allegations in the FIR are that the petitioner being Lambardar of the Village Makowal had identified Surinderpal Singh, NRI, who was not present in India on the date of registration of the transfer deed. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that said Surinderpal Singh was identified by the petitioner on the basis of notorised Aadhar Card and PAN Card which were produced by Manpreet Singh-son of Surinderpal Singh. He states that as soon as the petitioner came to know about the fraud committed by Manpreet Singh, he approached the Deputy Commissioner, Rupnagar in this regard and that thereafter the forged document i.e transfer deed was cancelled.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurminder Singh, states that the petitioner has joined the investigation. Vide order dated 03.06.2019, this Court while granting the concession of interim anticipatory bail directed the petitioner to join MANOJ KUMAR 2019.11.06 09:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the above, order dated 03.06.2019 granting interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner, is made absolute. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so by the Investigating Agency and shall abide by the conditions of Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
