ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 134 dated 11.08.2020 under Sections 420/465/467/471/120-B IPC registered at Police Station City Budhlada, District Mansa. 2.

Per allegations, petitioner along with others used to prepare forged and fabricated documents i.e Registration Certificate of trucks by tampering their chassis numbers and sell the same in used trucks market. Upon secret information, raid was conducted and petitioner was found at the spot. However, he managed to escape during the raid.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner has been falsely implicated as nothing was recovered from him. There is no complainant in the FIR.

Mr. Luvinder Sofat, AAG, Punjab, who has joined proceedings on service of advance copy of the petition, appears and opposes bail on the ground SONU 2020.08.29 00:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

that petitioner is the king pin and supplier of the trucks. He further contends that 12 trucks were recovered in the case. The petitioner along with co-accused Om Prakash @ Omi was apprehended at the spot. Both, however, managed to escape.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, as also learned State counsel and after perusal of the case file, I am of the opinion that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary to unearth the entire modus operandi, as he is the prime accused. Therefore, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out.
