Mohinder Pal Singh v. Narcotic Control Bureau Chandigarh
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
CRM-M-51966-2018 Date of decision: 16.01.2020 Mohinder Pal Singh ..... Petitioner
Versus
Narcotic Control Bureau, Chandigarh ..... Respondent
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN PRESENT: None for the petitioner.
Mr. DD Sharma, Advocate for respondent-NCB.
RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Despite the case having been called twice, the petitioner had gone un-represented.
Perusal of file shows that on previous two dates also i.e. 19.10.2019 and 27.11.2019, none put in appearance on behalf of petitioner. Therefore, it can safely be presumed that the petitioner or his counsel is not interested in pursuing the instant petition. More so, learned counsel for respondent-NCB submits that trial against the petitioner is at fag end, inasmuch as, the next date of hearing before the trial Court is 21.01.2020, for defence evidence. In view of the above, the instant petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
