Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.38 dated 10.04.2019 under Sections 406/420/467/468/471 IPC registered at P.S Chamkaur Sahib, District Rupnagar.

Allegations in the FIR are that the petitioner was a marginal witness to the transfer deed and that he identified Surinderpal Singh, NRI, who was not present in India on the date of registration of the transfer deed, on the asking of co-accused-Harbans Lal, Lambardar of village Makkowal. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had appended his signatures only on the asking of the Lambardar of village i.e Harbans Singh.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurminder Singh, states that the petitioner has joined the investigation. Vide order dated 03.06.2019, this Court while granting the concession of interim anticipatory bail directed the petitioner to join investigation.
