In the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the impugned order/letter dated 08.04.2026 (Annexure P-5) passed by the Assistant Registrar (Establishment), Panjab University, Chandigarh vide which the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment has been rejected.

Ms. Shreya Kaushik, Advocate has filed memo of appearance on behalf of the respondents.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents fairly submits that the case of the petitioner will be reconsidered by the University for the purpose of grant of compassionate appointment within a period of 02 months from today.
