IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRR-676 of 2013 Date of Decision: 21.02.2019 Mohinder Singh ....Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present:- None for the petitioner.

RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Written request for adjournment has been circulated by learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that he is in personal difficulty. Perusal of file shows that instant revision was filed in the year 2013. For the first time it was taken on board on 22.04.2013. Thereafter, case has been taken on board for 16 times in a span of around six years. Three times this case was adjourned on account of non-representation on behalf of the petitioner. Five times case was adjourned on written request of learned counsel for the petitioner. On two dates Bar had suspended the work. Six times case was adjourned on oral request of learned arguing counsel for the petitioner or through proxy counsel. Above factual aspect makes it abundantly clear that petitioner is unnecessarily lingering on the case for last six years on account of not pursuing it seriously by learned counsel. Therefore, written request for adjournment is declined. Dismissed for want of prosecution.
