JUSTICE SANT PARKASH Present:- Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Advocate for the Petitioner. *** JASWANT SINGH, J.(ORAL) [The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual court] The lease deed dated 4.11.2017 qua the Panchayat Land measuring 8 Bighas 17 Biswas in the revenue estate of Pedhni Kalan, Tehsil Dhuri, District Sangrur was ordered to be cancelled vide order dated 14.7.2020 passed by the Collector Sangrur on an application under Section 10-A of The Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1965 filed by the Panchayat on the ground that there was illegality in conducting Munadi and also the subsequent bidding etc. The petitioner is stated to have filed a statutory appeal before the Joint Development Commissioner, Punjab under Section 10-A of Punjab Village Common Lands Act, 1961 wherein while issuing notice on 24.7.2020 (P-1) status quo was ordered to be maintained DINESH KUMAR 2020.10.15 15:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.16878 of 2020 #2# till next date of hearing i.e. 05.08.2020. On the next date i.e. 5.8.2020 a fresh order (P-2) was passed thereby extending the status quo order till 19.08.2020. Thereafter what transpired the counsel for petitioner is unable to apprise the Court.

The Petitioner has filed the present writ petition for modification of aforesaid orders P-1 & P-2 passed in appeal from Status Quo to restraining Gram Panchayat/Respondent No.5 from interfering in peaceful possession of the premises.

After arguing at some length and realizing that this Court is not inclined, prays for permission to withdraw the present writ petition to seek his remedy before the Appellate Authority itself. Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to approach the Appellate Authority.
