Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.

This petition in the nature of Habeas Corpus was filed seeking release of detenue-Parmila (wife of the petitioner) from the alleged illegal custody of respondent No. 4.

In view of status report dated 11th August, 2021 filed by the State, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no cause of action survives for pursuing the present petition as the detenue has been released and is living with the petitioner.

The petition is disposed of as infructuous.
