8< Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to allow the petitioner to join his post of Group 'D' under ESP SC category (Beldar) being successful and selected candidate vide result Annexure P-4.

Grievance of the petitioner is that respondent issued rollnumber wise list (Annexure P4) of selected candidates in ESP category and allotted PWD (B&R) department to the petitioner but in this regard, no intimation was given to the petitioner to join his place of posting or department which has been allotted to him. Resultantly, he failed to join the duty. Thereafter, petitioner served legal notice dated 27.11.2020 (Annexure P6) but to no avail.Hence, the instant petition. 3.

On advance service, learned State counsel appears and submits that a decision will be taken by competent authority, either way, on the pending legal notice dated 27.11.2020 (Annexure P-6).

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority/respondent No.2 to look into the legal notice dated 27.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) of the petitioner and pass an administrative order, in accordance with law. Let the needful be done within a period of six weeks. However, petitioner is also at liberty to file a fresh detailed representation.
