Consequently, this petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, though with a direction to respondents no.2 and 3 to otherwise ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioners continue to be protected, within the four corners of law.

The observations made by this Court with regard to the proceedings under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, will, however, continue to hold.
