HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J The petitioners had filed petition before the learned Sessions Judge, Gurdaspur, seeking protection of their life and liberty at the hands of some private respondents. The petition was disposed of vide order dated 10.06.2021, directing respondent Nos.1 & 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

Alleging non-compliance of said order, present contempt petition has been filed.

An affidavit of Dr. Nanak Singh, IPS, Senior Supdt. Of Police, Gurdaspur has been filed wherein it is stated that on receipt of order dated 10.06.2021 of the learned District Judge, Gurdaspur, immediate direction was issued to SHO of Police Station, Kalanaur to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. SHO, P.S Kalanaur submitted his report on 01.07.2021 wherein it is stated that the petitioners have got their statements recorded before the ASI Sawinder Pal of Police Station, Kalanaur that they do not MANOJ KUMAR 2021.12.02 09:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP No.1557 of 2021 #2# require any police protection. They were advised to approach the concerned DSP, if at any stage in future, they apprehend any threat. Necessary directions were also issued to the DSP/SHO of the Police Station. In view thereof, nothing survives in this contempt petition and the same is disposed of as infructuous.
