**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, inter alia seeking directions to the official respondent No.2 to take legal action against private respondent No.3 on the complaint moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a complaint was made by the petitioner against respondent No.3 of committing rape upon her on the pretext of marriage. However, the police procured the signatures of the petitioner on some blank papers and thereafter misused them by converting them into a compromise between the petitioner and respondent No.3. Learned counsel further submits that soon thereafter, the petitioner moved a representation/complaint dated 07.07.2021 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.2 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, against respondent No.3 and the erring police officials, however, the authorities concerned had failed to initiate any steps in the said regard. After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, to look into the representation/complaint dated 07.07.2021 (Annexure P-1) and take appropriate action.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, to look into the representation/complaint dated 07.07.2021 (Annexure P-1) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months, from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
