(ORAL) Petitioners herein, inter alia, seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release all the service benefits i.e. arrears of death cum retirement gratuity, arrears of family pension, leave encashment, arrears of salary and arrears of Deposit Linked Insurance (DLI) etc. along with interest.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that qua their aforesaid grievance, petitioners caused issuance of a legal notice dated 19.07.2021 (Annexure P-6), but to no avail. Hence, the instant petition. 4.

Learned State counsel, on advance service, joins proceedings and states that competent authority shall take appropriate decision on the pending legal notice dated 19.07.2021 (Annexure P-6). 5.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners also agrees that let a final decision is taken, either way, by the competent authority on the pending legal notice dated 19.07.2021 (Annexure P-6), giving reasons thereof.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioners as per legal notice dated 19.07.2021 (Annexure P6) and also by keeping in view the contentions raised in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and take a decision, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within a period of 03 months from today.

Disposed of accordingly.
