Dated Police Station Sections 25.01.2024 Division No.2 Pathankot 379/506 IPC Seeking quashing of above captioned FIR, petitioner has come up before this Court by filing the present petition under Section 482 CrPC. 2.
Petitioner's counsel submits that it is a politically motivated FIR and now the complainant has realised his fault and as such, he is agreeable to compromise. However, State counsel submits that the complainant was only an informant and he was not a victim, as such he has no right to compromise the matter because it is the State, who has to defend victims.

At this stage petitioner's counsel seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh for quashing of FIR on merits. 4.
Petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
