By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has approached this Court inter alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing order dated 17.10.2008, Annexure P-2, by which, Arms Licence of the petitioner was cancelled on the ground of registration of FIR No.352/2007, against him. 2.

After addressing for some time, counsel for the petitioner seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file an application for grant of fresh Licence under the Arms Act, 1959, as per law.
