R.P. Nagrath, J. (Oral) The instant revision is filed to challenge the concurrent findings of courts below convicting both the petitioners for offence under Sections 420 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code (IPC). Petitioners are father and son. They were awarded the sentence by the trial Court to undergo two years of imprisonment each and to pay fine of ` 2000/- each, in default to further undergo imprisonment for 15 days each. The appellate court also affirmed the sentence in appeal.

While the instant revision was pending, petitioners and the complainant entered into a compromise and the entire payment has been settled.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Charan Singh also states that complainant is the only aggrieved person in JITENDER KUMAR 2015.04.25 14:49 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Petitioners are stated to have deceived the complainant of an amount of ` 2 lacs. Application for composition of offence on the basis of compromise has been filed.

Learned counsel for the complainant does not want to oppose the application. Statements of both the parties have also been recorded by the trial Court in deference to the order dated 09.09.2014 of this Court. It has been reported by the trial Court that the compromise is genuine, without any pressure, undue influence and coercion. As per report of the Registry, petitioners have also deposited an amount of ` 30,000/- with the State Legal Services Authority, Punjab.

In view of the aforesaid factors, permission is granted to compound the offences on the basis of compromise by accepting the instant revision as a result of which petitioners stand acquitted of the charges framed against them.

Disposed of.
