(Oral) Petitioners are seeking issuance of direction to the respondents to count their service rendered as SPOs as qualifying service for grant of service benefits as well as for pensionary benefits, in view of judgment passed by this Court on 15.02.2018 in CWP No. 9936-2017 titled as Sukhjeet Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others (P-6). Learned counsel for the petitioners at the very outset submits that the claim of similarly situated employees has already been considered by this Court in Sukhjeet Singh's case (supra) and the same has been complied by the respondent-department vide orders dated 11.12.2018 and 17.12.2018 (P-7). The petitioners had also given legal notice in this regard on 16.01.2020 (P-10).

Learned State counsel has not disputed the fact that the benefit sought by the petitioners, had been granted to similarly situated employees, vide orders dated 11.12.2018 and 17.12.2018 (P-7). This exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
