ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) As per the affidavit of the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, it is stated in Paragraph 8 that the investigation of the case was entrusted to SIT, who has submitted a report and thereafter, on 11.09.2023, the Director Bureau of Investigation, Punjab, has sought some clarification and on 18.09.2023, the direction was issued to the Additional Director General of Police, Patiala Range, Patiala, to examine the reports.

Counsel for the State submits that the investigation will be completed within a period of 02 months from today. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to revive this petition, if so advised.
