Mr. M.S. Basra, Advocate for the petitioner Ms Manpreet Dhaliwal, A.A.G, Punjab **** RITU BAHRI , J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No. 46 dated 22.09.2015, registered at Police Station Tibber, District Gurdaspur, who has been booked for having committed the offence punishable under Section 304-B/302/34 IPC.

The allegation against the petitioner that he used to harass his wife on account of bringing dowry amounting to Rs.3 lacs and thereafter, when she did not bring the amount, she was strangulated by her husband i.e present petitioner. The deceased before her death had informed on 20.09.2015 to the complainant about the maltreatment meted out to her by the petitioner.

Learned counsel submits that there are general allegations against the petitioner and it was the petitioner who took the deceased to hospital.

Petitioner is in custody since 24.09.2015 Keeping in view the fact that the trial is likely to take some time to conclude, the present petition is allowed.
