(Oral) The petitioners through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. are seeking quashing of FIR No.230 dated 05.11.2014 registered at Police Station Bhikhiwind, District Tarn Taran, under Section 498-A of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 Domestic Act and charge sheet dated 17.02.2019. Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the outset, confines his prayer qua exemption of petitioners from their appearance before trial Court considering their age. The petitioner No.1 is 82 years and petitioner No.2 is 75 years old. They are resident of village Ranipur, Police Station Rawalpindi, District Kapurthala whereas trial is pending at Tehsil Patti, District Tarn Taran.

Learned State counsel, who is present in Court on advance notice, does not dispute the prayer of the petitioners. Without commenting upon the merits of the case, however, considering the age of the petitioners, the personal appearance of the ANJU GOEL 2023.05.31 17:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
