(ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 CrPC, prayer has been made for quashing of Fir No.41 dated 04.06.2020 registered under Sections 452, 323, 427, 379, 148 and 149 of IPC at PS Behrampur, District Gurdaspur on the basis of compromise dated 11.06.2020. 2.

Vide order dated 07.12.2020, parties were directed to appear before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate in order to get their statements record as regards the veracity of the settlement.

Perusal of the paper book shows that the parties have not appeared before the trial Court for getting their statements recorded despite having been granted an opportunity. Even today, the position remains the same. No one has chosen to appear on behalf of petitioner despite the matter having been called twice.

In view of the above, the present petition stands dismissed with liberty to petitioner to approach this Court again in case any fresh settlement is arrived at between the parties.
