Fearing for life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents, the petitioner, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, has come up before this Court seeking protection through the State. Notices served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor or private respondents is required. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if a time bound direction is issued to Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, respondent no.2, to decide the representation dated 16.06.2022 (Annexure P-7), which is pending with him.

Given above, the prayer is innocuous. As such, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, respondent no.2, to decide the representation (Annexure P-3) by passing a speaking order within 30 days from today.
