The application stands disposed of.
LPA-694-2023 This appeal is directed against the judgement and order dated 21.02.2023 passed by the learned Single Judge dismissing the writ petition filed by the petitioner (appellant herein).
Learned counsel for the appellant has argued that the appellant has secured higher marks in written examination and the candidate who has got lower marks than him has been given an appointment on the ground that he is senior to him in age. However, this argument is liable to be rejected on the ground that total marks were calculated for the purposes of appointment after adding the marks of written examination and interview marks and even if the appellant has got higher marks in the written examination and the candidate has got lower marks, but after adding the interview marks he has got the same marks as the appellant, the person who is higher in age will be given a preference.
In view of the aforesaid, we do not find any illegality or perversity in the impugned judgement and order passed by the learned Single Judge which may call for our interference.
