**** SANDEEP MOUDGIL , J.(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of writ in the nature of habeas corpus with a roving writ directing the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to produce the detenue Gagandeep Kaur (daughter of the petitioner) who is in illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 & 5.
Vide order dated 23.05.2024, Superintendent of Police Yamuna Nagar was directed to look into the matter and trace the detenue. The said order reads as under:- "Report submitted by Warrant Officer is taken on record, as per which, he carried out search at different places as indicated by the petitioner but detenue was not found. FIR with regard to missing detenue-Gagandeep Kaur is already registered in Police Station Bilaspur, District Yamuna Nagar.
Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar is hereby directed to depute some gazetted police officer who should look into the matter and make sincere efforts to trace out the detenue and to produce her in the Court at the earliest. Now be listed on 22.7.2024."
Today, the detenue-Gagandeep Kaur is present in the Court accompanied by the petitioner (her father). On the asking of Court, she willingly stated to go with her father (petitioner). Statement of both i.e. detenue (daughter of the petitioner) and petitioner (father of the detenue) has been recorded to the following effect:- "STATEMENT OF GAGANDEEP KAUR, 23 YEARS DAUGHTER OF PARAMJEET SINGH, R/O HOUSE NO.
145, SANDHAY, YAMUNA NAGAR, HARYANA.
ON S.A.
It is stated that my father has filed the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus. It is stated that I wish to accompany my father, who is present in Court. I am making the afore-said statement without any fear, coercion or undue influence.
STATEMENT OF PARAMJEET SINGH AGED 49 YEARS S/O INDER SINGH HARYANA R/O HOUSE NO. 145, SANDHAY, YAMUNA NAGAR, HARYANA.

It is stated that I have filed the petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of direction to the official respondents to produce my daughter Gagandeep Kaur, aged 24 years alleged detenue who is stated to be in illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 5. I am ready and willing to take my daughter and will take care of her. The afore-said statement of mine is without any fear, coercion or undue influence."
In the light of the aforesaid statements, the alleged detenue Gagandeep Kaur is at liberty to go along with her father i.e. petitionerParamjeet Singh.
