Through the instant petition, the petitioners seek issuance of directions upon the respondents No.1 to 3, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty, at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. 2.
Perusal of the instant petition reveals that, the petitioner No.1, during subsistence of her marriage with respondent No.4, decided to walk out of her matrimonial relationship and now, she has been living in 'live-in relationship' with the petitioner No.2. 3.
In compliance of the order made by this Court on 22.05.2024, the learned State counsel has filed a status report, on affidavit of Insp. Gurmeet Singh, S.H.O., P.S. Sadar Fazilka, which is taken on record. 4.
What emerges from a survey of the status report (supra), is that, there is no threat or danger to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, rather false allegations have been levelled in the petition.
