SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 and 5, mother and brother of petitioner No.2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 17.02.2017 (Annexure P-9) made by petitioner No.2. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Jugraj Singh is 07.09.1996 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Ranjit Kaur is 06.06.1988 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-4). They got married on 17.02.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-8.

In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar Mohali to look into the Sachin Mehta 2017.02.

CRM-M-6552-2017 -2representation dated 17.02.2017 (Annexure P-9) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office.
