The prayer in the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is for the issuance of a directions to respondents No.1 to 6 not to harass the petitioner time and again in their offices on the false and frivolous complaint of respondent No.7.

The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has instituted a complaint under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 against respondent No.7. The son of respondent No.7 is a friend of respondent No.5. At the instance of respondent No.5, the petitioner is being repeatedly called to the police station. Therefore, appropriate directions be issued to the investigating agency not to harass the petitioner.

The learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that it is a money dispute. While it is correct that the petitioner has instituted proceedings under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 KUSUM 2026.04.30 10:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document PHHC Chandigarh

CRM-M-23799-2026 -2against respondent No.7, respondent No.7 herself has filed a complaint dated 22.04.2026 against the petitioner because of which the petitioner is being called to the police station for the purpose of inquiry. In fact, the petitioner has appeared and has given his statement to the investigating agency. He states that in case the presence of the petitioner is required again, he shall be summoned in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the respective contentions of both sides, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court, at this stage. 5.

Disposed of.
