JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) Petitioner, who belongs to Scheduled Caste (Majhbi Caste) and competed for the post of Sub Station Attendant, advertised by the respondent-Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd, The Mall, Patiala (for short "Corporation") vide Advertisement No.265 of 2008, has filed this writ petition seeking orders directing the respondents to appoint him as such against one of the vacancies reserved for Scheduled Caste (Balmiki/Bakhbi Sikh). At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner points out that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous as the petitioner has since been appointed by the respondent.

Dismissed as infructuous.
