(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.198 dated 25.08.2017 under Sections 436, 427, 148, 149/120-B IPC and Section 4 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 and Sections 3 and 4 of Explosive Substances Act, registered at Police Station Sangat, District Bathinda. Petitioner is stated to be in custody since 06.09.2017. He is not named in the FIR. Investigation has been completed and challan presented before the trial court. So, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in custody any longer. The trial may take time to conclude. Thus, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Bathinda.
